It looks like there are spots on my candle, what is that from?


The spots are caused by the wax shinking during the cooling process. We try our best to minimize this but it is impossible to consistently prevent. It in no way affects the burnability or the scent of the candle.




Do you have any tips for burning and/or caring for my candle?


We want you to get the most out of your candle so here are a few tips that will help. The first burn of a candle is the most important. A good rule is the candle should burn 1 hour for every 1 inch in diameter of the actual candle size. You want to let the candle melt from edge to edge of the container. Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch. Remember, trim the candle wick only when the candle is cold. This will help to prevent smoking. When burning, a cap or mushroom may form at the top of the wick. This is normal and allows for a wider surface for the flame so the heat radiates to the edges of the candle. Once you have extinguished the candle and it has cooled, you should remove the cap. Follow the half inch rule. It is best to discontinue use of the candle when a half inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container. This will help to prevent possible heat damage to the surface where you are buring the candle or the actual container. WARNING: Never leave a buring candle unattended. Keep out of the reach of children and/or pets. Never place candles near materials that are flammable. Place candles on a hard, flat, steady surface that is heat resistant and non-flammable to burn.

There is not a phone number listed on the site - can I call with a question?


I am definitely of the mind set that a 5 minute call is more efficient, and more convenient, than a 45 minute text or email conversation; however let me be honest, this is a one woman show. I do not have a staff of customer service agents waiting to take your call. I check my email regularly and will answer back quickly. With that being said, go ahead and include your phone number in your message. If we can't solve the issue in a few emails then I promise to pick the phone up and call you to resolve the issue quickly.

We are proudly located in Smyrna, Georgia.




What shipping methods do you use?


Most orders are shipped using priority mail with USPS and will have a tracking number for you to track your package. For any rush deliveries, we typically use UPS.




When will my order be shipped?


Keep in mind that all items are made to order. Typical processing times range from 2-5 days for retail orders and 5-10 days for wholesale orders.




What makes Whiff Candle Co. candles different?


Each candle is carefully crafted to be luxurious and environmentally friendly. We hand pour each highly scented candle and use only 3 ingredients - 100% soy wax produced from soy beans grown right here in the USA, cotton wicks and the perfect blend of fragrance and essential oils. That's it. Nothing else. No chemicals. No additives. Making and selling you a clean burning candle is very important to us.

Why is my candle turning yellow?


We do not add UV inhibitors to our candles or any other unnecessary chemicals. Because of this, if your candle is left exposed to direct or indirect light, your candle may darken or yellow. Storing your candle in a cool dark place will help to keep it white. If your candle does darken or yellow, don't be alarmed - it does not affect the burn or quality at all.
